Today, let me introduce two high refractive index coating materials from ATS:
1. Tantalum pentoxide, molecular formula: Ta2O5
2. Hafnium dioxide, molecular formula: HfO2
Material introduction
• Tantalum pentoxide,Ta2O5

Tantalum Pentoxide(Ta2O5) film has high refractive index (2.01~2.23 at wavelength 550 nm), high dielectric constant (25~35) and good chemical stability.
It has the advantages of high dielectric constant and good chemical stability, and is mainly used for preparing optical films such as reflective films and anti-reflection films.
Main application fields: film capacitor, optical communication device, anti-reflection film laser, etc
•Hafnium dioxide, HfO2

Hafnium Dioxide(HfO2) is a high-quality film material with high refractive index and high damage threshold resistance. Mainly used in multilayer film, anti-reflection film, protective film, nano-hardening and glasses coating.
Main application fields: spectacle lens, camera shot, tempered glass film, etc.
