Application of ZrO2/TiO2 mixture

ZrO2/TiO2 mixture, is a titanium zirconium oxide mixture for high refractive index thin films. The density is 5.6g/cm3, melting point is 2400 ℃, evaporation temperature is 2200-2400 ℃. It is an excellent broadband antireflective material. Refractive index @ 550nm: 2.05-2.1, transparent band: 0.35-7um. Typical evaporation sources: electron gun, molybdenum boat, tantalum boat, tungsten boat.

Compared to ZrO2 the material melts and is therefore easier to evaporate and forms very homogeneous layers without a refractive index gradient. It can adapt to the film stress and achieve proper deposition on the plastic substrate. It has high purity, small amount of splashing, long-standing process stability and high durability. It is commonly used in antireflection film, multilayer film and plastic substrate film in the VIS and IR spectral range.
